About Us

RE/MAX Peak to Peak, Mara/Brenda - Agent with Re/Max Peak to Peak

Meet our Team, from left to right: Brenda, Carol, Betty (or assistant) and Mara

We want to tell you more about us.
The teams’ combined experience, innovation, and passion allow them to serve their clients skillfully, market homes effectively and seamlessly close transactions.  Grand Mountain Group’s market knowledge spans from Winter Park, Fraser Valley, Granby, Hot Sulphur Springs to Grand Lake; allowing them to show buyers all that Grand County has to offer.

Living in Grand County since 1989, Mara embraces the valley’s lifestyle;  mountain biking and skiing in her free time.  Real estate experience since 2000 including, education, networking and market knowledge of the Winter Park and Fraser Valley makes her, a solid part of the team.  Brenda thrives on staying current with technology (including maintaining this website), being organized and responsive.  She rounds out the team with passion for Grand Lake, Granby, and the Hot Sulphur Springs area.  Knowing the in’s and outs of the Winter Park ski area and the bike trails along the Fraser Valley makes Carol a true local living the dream.  Carol’s origination and ability to put together systems has been added an asset to the team. These combined skills make the team a powerful force.  (Also fun and personable!)

The three began their real estate careers individually, but after several years of working within the same company, they found that each had different skill sets and by combining them they could serve their clients better as a team.

I have been a resident of the Winter Park area since 1988. As a full-time real estate professional since 2000, I specialize in listing and selling single-family homes, condominiums and vacant land for primary or resort residents. I use my knowledge and love of the area to market and sell Grand County real estate. I am committed to meeting your needs with integrity, honesty, and professionalism. Your satisfaction and positive experience is my goal.

Early in my real estate career, I earned my GRI, (Graduate Realtor Institute) designation, and in 2005 I earned the prestigious CRS (Certified Residential Specialist). Fewer than 3% of realtors nationwide currently hold this designation which is the highest professional designation awarded to realtors in the residential sales field. I am most proud of my past Quality Service awards, as this reflects my commitment to customer satisfaction. I have recently achieved my Resort and Second Home Specialist certification, which is critical for our market.

I am passionate about the Colorado lifestyle, including mountain biking, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and anything that takes me outdoors. I coordinate a women’s weekly mountain biking and snowshoeing group. When not outdoors, I am an avid reader, and enjoy working on the Pet Pal’s board, which helps support, the needs of our local animal shelter and its tenants!

I live in an incredibly beautiful place, but what makes Grand County special, are its people. I love sharing this amazing place with my clients.

I sincerely look forward to working with you!

~ Mara

About Brenda

brenda_family

In 2005 I worked with Winter Park Property Management.  While learning the ins and outs of property management I decided that I wanted to get deeper in the field of Real Estate.

I began my career with CENTURY 21 Winter Park Real Estate as an administrator in 2006, and in 2007, I started helping clients buy and sell real estate. In 2008, I received the CENTURY 21 “Rising Star” award for exceptional sales in my first year. By 2009, I was ranked in the top 6% of real estate agents in a four-state region and was one of the top producing agents in the Winter Park, Colorado office. During that same year, I was awarded the Quality Service Award for my commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction.

In November 2010 Mara and I were invited to join the top ranking realtors at the new company RE/MAX Peak to Peak. This opportunity proved to be the best decision I could have made. Not only has it been a pleasure to work with a great group of people, but I am now partnering with Mara.  Mara and I have been awarded the Executive Club Award in 2011, the Platinum Club award in 2012 and the 100% Club in 2013-2015.

Education is very important to me. I continue to learn every day and try to double if not triple the required hours of continuing education required by the state. I have earned the designation of a (Master Certified Negotiating Expert (MCNE) in 2016 and have completed the GRI certification (The Graduate Realtor® Institute) in 2012. I  earned my CRS designation (Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) in January of in 2017.

I fell in love with Grand Lake, decades ago (early 90′s), it wasn’t until I fell in love with a Grand Lake restaurateur and his two children that I decided to make the move from tourists to local (2001). Moving to Grand County was a dream come true. My husband and I now have our own daughter, who is growing up near the shores of Grand Lake, with the majestic Mt. Baldy always in view. With my family, I enjoy gardening, boating, hiking, skiing, golf, bowling, and music.

 About Carol

Originally from Massachusetts, Carol calls Colorado home for over 20 years and has resided in Grand County for the past 12. Carol said, “Grand County is truly an amazing place to live, and I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else”.

She began her real estate career at Re/Max Peak to Peak since October of 2014. Joining the Grand Mountain Group team in the summer of 2017 has been a smart move.  Carol strives to provide the best possible service and guidance to every client and prides herself on knowledge of local markets, client communication, marketing, social media, and integrity.

“It is an honor to be joining Brenda and Mara, and I am looking forward to becoming part of their team”, Carol said.

In the winter when Carol is not working, you will find her trying to keep up with her eight-year-old daughter and husband at the resort, and in the summer you will find them exploring all the mountain bike trails that run throughout the County.
