Innsbruck/Val Mortiz is a subdivision in Granby, Colorado where development began in the 1980’s and homes are still popping up today. The homeowners association is very strong. There area approximately 564 homeowners in this subdivision and the terrain is hilly with some flat areas and very scenic.
From New York Times article. “Now Granby is becoming known as a second-home destination, especially for buyers from the Denver area, about 85 miles or a 90-minute drive away.” Granby was incorporated in 1905 and Innsbruck/Val Mortiz is at the southern end of town. Only 20 minutes from Grand Lake and 30 minutes from Winter Park. Within 25 minutes of town are four golf courses, Alpine and Nordic ski areas, miles of trails in the Arapaho National Forest and the less-crowded western side of Rocky Mountain National Park, and several lakes and rivers, including Lake Granby. Granby is convenient to year-round recreation in all directions and has a variety of activities with quick access. Home prices are lower than in neighboring resort communities: about 40 percent below Winter Park, for example.
