Gypsum

Gypsum is a small town located in Eagle County and is situated at an elevation of around 6,300 feet (1,920 meters) above sea level and has a population of around 7,500 people. The town is situated along Interstate 70, which connects it to the nearby cities of Eagle and Glenwood Springs, as well as the larger cities of Denver and Grand Junction.
 
The economy of Gypsum is largely driven by outdoor recreation and tourism, as the town is located near several popular ski resorts, hiking and mountain biking trails, and other outdoor attractions. The town is also home to a small airport, the Eagle County Regional Airport, which provides commercial and private air service to the region.
 
Gypsum has a small-town feel and offers a variety of community events and activities, including the annual Gypsum Daze festival, which features live music, a carnival, and a variety of other family-friendly activities.
